Is the EPIC number the same as the voter ID number?
Yes — the 10-character alphanumeric on top right of the front is the EPIC number. That's what KYC portals reference.
Should I redact the EPIC number for non-KYC sharing?
Yes — for rental, gym, or non-government sharing, mask the EPIC number while leaving name + DOB visible. Use /redact-pdf.
What about DigiLocker voter ID PDFs?
DigiLocker delivers the voter ID with both sides on a single page. If you've downloaded from DigiLocker, this merge isn't needed.
