Merge Driving Licence PDF — Front + Back into One File
Overview
Indian driving licence is double-sided. Most RTO, vehicle insurance, and car-rental portals ask for a single PDF showing both front (photo, name, DOB, licence number) and back (signature, address, vehicle classes). Scanning produces two separate PDFs — merge into one.
How to Use This Tool
Scan or photograph both sides separately, save each as PDF. Drop into /merge in order (Front first, Back second). Download as DL_<LICENCE-NUMBER>.pdf.

What's the recommended file size?
Most RTO and insurance portals accept 1-2MB. If your scan is over 2MB, compress after merging via /compress.
Should I mask the licence number?
No for verification — they need to see it. For sharing with non-government parties (rental, gym), use /redact-pdf to mask the licence number while showing the photo and name.
Will dual-side scan apps produce the same output?
Yes — DigiLocker, mDL, and most scan-to-PDF apps produce a 2-page PDF directly. If you got separate PDFs, this merge fixes it.
