Extract Bank Transactions from PDF — SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis

Overview

Indian bank statements are PDF-locked tables. Importing them into Tally, Zoho Books, or accounting software requires you to type each row manually — or use OCR that uploads your statement to a remote server. PDF Mavericks extracts the transaction table to CSV in the browser; the statement never leaves your device.

How to Use This Tool

Drop your bank statement PDF into /pdf-to-csv. The tool detects the transaction table and outputs CSV. Open in Excel or import into Tally directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which banks does this work for?

Tested on SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, IDFC First, IndusInd, and Yes Bank. Other banks usually work too — the tool detects tabular layouts, not bank-specific formats.

What if my statement is password-protected?

Unlock via /unlock-pdf first. SBI uses DDMMYYYY by default; HDFC uses name + date combinations; check your bank's onboarding email for the format.

Are transaction descriptions preserved?

Yes. The CSV includes Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Balance — the standard five-column Indian bank statement structure.
